The World of Kitty Cat

Hi Friends, This is your cat friend Kitty Cat again. My master is still not back and his blog editor has once again asked me to post another blog on his behalf. This time he wanted me to write something about our world i.e the world of cats, how we live, what we do, how our social life is, who my friends and relatives are etc. Hence I am posting this blog.

First let me tell you something about myself. As my name suggests, I am a cat. But when I was small, I was a kitten. Hence my master named me Kitty Cat. I live in my master's house who takes good care of me. The main job that Mother Nature has given us is to keep our master's house free of rats. But apart from that, we also do other tasks like entertain our master by doing mischievous things, play and fight with dogs, act in movies, go to school etc.. and yes nowadays even write and post blogs on the net.

When I was small, I was very lazy and used to sleep a lot. Here is a photo of mine sleeping lazily in childhood :

But my master is very concerned about my health. So as I grew up, he taught me some exercises which he said will keep me healthy and alert. Here are some photos of mine doing one of the exercises :

Also, when I was small, one day, without asking me, my master took me to a vet doctor even though I was not ill. And the vet doctor even without checking me, directly gave me an injection. That pained a lot and I started crying. That time, my master comforted me saying it was a vaccine injection which will pain for some time, but protect me from diseases for a lifetime. Here is a photo of me crying after the vet doctor gave me the vaccine injection :

Even today, my master regularly takes me for a routine health checkup to my vet doctor even though I am healthy. Once when he was taking me for a checkup, I asked him why he takes me to the doctor frequently even though I am not ill. He replied that prevention is always better than cure and that a stitch in time saves nine, so one should make hay while the sun shines. See how knowledgeable my master is, he knows so much about medical science. Even I didn't realise that I was suffering from so many health problems. Actually sometimes I doubt whether he takes me for checking my health or to meet the doctor. Anyways, I don't mind because my doctor is very kind and no longer gives me an injection and treats me very nicely. Here is a photo of me and my doctor taken by my master during one of my routine health checkups :

Even though my master is intelligent, he sometimes becomes absent minded which creates problems for me. One day when I was small, he came home from office and saw me sleeping in the house. That time, he simply forgot that I was his pet cat and thought that I was some stray cat that had entered his house by mistake. So he picked me up and threw me out of the house and kept me shivering in the cold and throughout the night himself kept worrying why his pet cat (that's me) had not yet returned home. In the morning when he came out of the house for collecting the daily milk bottle, he saw me shivering outside the front door and took me in and scolded me for not having come home on time the night before. After scolding for nearly one hour, he asked me to drink the milk from the bottle he had just collected and take some rest since he thought that I would be feeling hungry and tired after spending the entire night in the cold outside the house. Actually, after throwing me out in the night, he had forgotten to close the door and I had quietly sneaked in the house in the night and taken a good night's sleep and had returned back outside the house just 5 minutes before my master woke up to collect the milk bottle and had already drank some milk from the bottle. Here is a photo of mine taking rest in my bedroom that night and drinking milk in the morning before my master woke up :

About my friends, I have a large friend circle with friends not only from our community but also from the dog community. I have two college friends called Greedi Cat and Lalchi Cat. Both of them are greedy for two things - fish and milk. Also, both of them are adventurous and are always coming up with new ideas which always lands them in trouble. One day when there was no stock of fish in the fish market, Greedi came up with a brilliant idea. He searched the yellow pages and found the address of a nearby aquarium. Immediately both of them went running to the aquarium and bought two tickets and joined the other people in watching the various fishes kept in the aquarium. Finally they came in front of a fish tank and seeing that no one was around, decided to catch and eat the fish in that fish tank. No sooner had Greedi put his hand in the fish tank to catch the fish than the security guard saw them and caught them and beat them up. They were finally taken away to a cat hospital in an ambulance. Here is the photo of Greedi and Lalchi taken just before they tried to catch the fish in the aquarium and got themselves beaten up :

After that incident, Greedi and Lalchi decided to plan things properly beforehand. So one day when someone told them that there was going to be a shortage of milk in the market after few days, they again searched the yellow pages and found out the address of a nearby dairy farm and went there and made friendship with one of the milkman. Finally when the D-day arrived and there was no more milk available in the market, they went running to the dairy farm as planned and to avoid getting beaten up this time politely requested the milkman to give them some milk. The milkman was a very kind person and so started giving them milk. But the cow in the dairy farm was not as kind and got upset and kicked both Greedi and Lalchi and both of them flew in the air and landed in the cat hospital straight from the dairy farm. There was no need to even call an ambulance this time. Here is the photo of Greedi and Lalchi taken just before the cow got upset and kicked them in the dairy farm :

Then I have an internet crazy friend called Chatty Cat. Chatty Cat is always surfing the net and is online 24 hours a day chatting with all his friends. Every saturday he goes to the house of all his friends with a CD and installs the latest version of internet messengers on their PC. And every sunday, his friends uninstall the messenger that he has installed. Here is a photo of Chatty Cat installing Yahoo messenger on one of his friends' PC :

I also have a movie crazy friend. His name is Stylee Cat. Anything that he does and says is always in style. He is frequently watching Voice Uncle's movies and keeps repeating his dialogues in style. Once he saw his movie 'Zameer' and went to the shop and bought a toy gun and some rat poison tablets. Then he spread the tablets on the street outside his house and came back to his house. Then from his bedroom window, he saw some rats eating the tablets and pointed his toy gun at them one by one and pulled the trigger. When the rats finally died of eating the tablets, he said in Voice Uncle's style 'अभी वो बंदूक नही बनी जिससे मेरा निशाना चूक सके ...'. Here is a photo of Stylee shooting already dead mice from his bedroom window :

I also have a friend who likes to watch Hindi remix songs. His name is Naughty Cat. Here is a photo of Naughty Cat watching one of Mallika Sherawat's movies :

I even have one dog friend called Lazeee Dog. Lazeee is very fond of sleeping. One day I asked my master to take a photo of Lazeee and me together. During the photo session also, Lazeee started sleeping. So I said to him "ए लेज़ी..उठ ..देख मास्टर अपनी फोटो खींच रहा है...". Without opening his eyes, Lazeee replied "सोने दे ना ... मुझे थोड़ी तुम्हारी तरह catwalk करने जाना है...घर की रखवाली ही तो करनी है..सोने दे ना.." Here is the photo that our master took while we were having this conversation :

About our social life, our social life is very similar to that of humans. Like Bollywood, we have our own film industry called Billiwood and the most popular actor in this industry is Billi Kumar. His original name is Billi Cat, but following the tradition of Bollywood, he has changed his name to Billi Kumar. My cousin sisters Badeee Cat and Chhoti Cat love watching his movies. Chhoti Cat is a big fan of Billi Kumar. Last year, when Billi Kumar had come to our city for the premiere of his new movie 'CatWalk', Chhoti was so excited that she sent SMS to all her friends telling them of the news and was present for the premiere 1 hour before it began. While the premiere was going on, she frequently kept asking Billi Kumar for his autograph. Finally 4 security cats were called in to drag Chhoti out of the theatre since she was not letting Billi Kumar watch his own movie during the premiere. Here is a photo of Badeee and Chhoti watching one of Billi Kumar's movie on TV :

We also have a beautiful and popular actress in Billiwood called BilliDevi who has given several hit movies so far. Here is one photo of BilliDevi on the poster of her blockbuster movie 'Do Phool Ek Billi' :

Last year, Billi Kumar and BilliDevi acted together in a movie called 'Catanic'. This is a remake of the popular human movie 'Titanic'. Here is a photo of BilliDevi in one of the scenes of 'Catanic' when the ship is sinking after hitting an iceberg :

And here is a photo of Billi Kumar on the sets of 'Catanic' getting ready for shooting a scene. Since there were many other cats in the scene in supporting roles, the director got confused as to who was the real hero and so gave Billi Kumar this special life jacket with his name written on it to identify him correctly :

Like humans, we also have WWF matches in our cat community. The wrestlers in this match are not as well-built as humans, but are equally ferocious. Here is a photo of a WWF match being held in our school playground :

Like humans, we also celebrate Valentine's Day in our community. Here is a photo of a kitten couple celebrating Valentine's day in our college :

Like humans, we also have to go to school and study for exams. Here is a photo of one of my friend studying hard for his exams :

This is his photo when the results were declared and he had passed the exam in the first attempt :

And finally here is the photo of his convocation ceremony. The Head mistress of the school Mrs. Rat Mousee (who is very strict) tied bells around the neck of all passing graduates during the convocation ceremony so that the rats could hear them coming from a distance and run away in advance. The two kittens that you see in the photo without bells couldn't catch a single mouse during the exam. Rat Mousee said that they had failed in the exams and hence there was no need to tie bells around their neck since they posed no threat to the rats. The scared looks on everyone's faces is because Rat Mousee was standing in front of them with a ruler while the photographer was taking this photograph :

Like humans, we also have in the cat underworld a notorious don called Chhota Billi. He is so dangerous that the mere mention of his name sends shivers down the spine of dogs. Every month, he collects 'installments' from all the dogs in our locality. In return he gives them protection from other cats. Even though he is dangerous, he also has a soft heart. If for some reason a poor dog cannot pay his 'installment' for that month, then he simply asks the dog to bow before him and touch his nose as a mark of respect and then lets the dog go without doing any harm. Here is a photo of a shivering dog paying respect to Chhota Billi since he couldn't pay his 'installment' for that month :

We cats have even been an inspiration for the people in the human film industry. In Bollywood, we have the honour of a special song written upon us and picturised on none other than Voice Uncle himself. This is from the superhit movie 'Sharaabi' in which Voice Uncle plays the role of an alcoholic millionaire and in the first half of this song tells us an incident of a 'Chuha' and a 'Billi' playing 'Danda Gilli' in his house; how the cat starts chasing the mouse and the mouse drinks a glass of whisky and shouts back at the cat and so on. In the second half of the song, he comes wearing a funny costume and a funny hairstyle making funny faces and then gets beaten up by his wife. Whilst the main song has been sung by Kishor Uncle, the incidents of cat-mouse and husband-wife have been sung by Voice Uncle himself. Following my master's tradition, I am posting the video of this song here :

If that's not enough, we cats have also made our mark in Hollywood and have acted in Hollywood movies in lead roles. Here is a scene from a popular Hollywood movie 'Stuart Little 2' in which you can see our Hollywood actor 'SnowBell' doing some wonderful acting. Snowbell has even won the Whisker award for this movie. (btw, the Whisker awards are given to cats not for their acting skills, but for their long whiskers...)

Ok Friends, time to go now and wait for my master to come back. If he doesn't come back soon, I guess I will have to take the help of my best friend Sniffy to find him out. Sniffy is a sniffer dog who works in the police department and has found several dangerous criminals so far just by their scent. In the past, whenever my master would go missing and I couldn't find him, I would call Sniffy and Sniffy would find him out in just 5 minutes. Once he found my master watching TV in the hall, once he found him having dinner in the kitchen and on another occasion he found him in the dressing room spraying over himself a special perfume which Sniffy has given him as a birthday present so that whenever he gets lost, Sniffy can find him quickly from the scent of that perfume.See how intelligent Sniffy is...

Hope this blog was as interesting and entertaining as my master's blogs. My master always keeps telling me that only human beings have intelligence and can write blogs and that cats cannot. When he comes back, he will be pleased to see this blog which is written not by a human being, but by a cat....his own pet cat called Kitty Cat.
