(continued from Part 1 and Part 2)

By the time Mani Mao's court scene was over, everyone had started feeling hungry and asked me where the Birthday cake was. Seeing this golden opportunity, as per my plan, I gathered all of them round the PC and started showing them the below images of cakes which I had downloaded from the net hoping that seeing them, they would start feeling hungry and finally in order to get some real cake would give me in writing that human beings are more intelligent than cats :

By the time I had finished showing them the cakes, I looked at them to see their reaction. Mani Mao's reaction was as seen below :

Seeing this, I slowly started taking out the blank piece of paper and pen to get from them in writing that human beings are more intelligent than cats. But before I could say anything, everyone clapped and Mani Mao exclaimed "The movie is over. Now let's eat some real cakes...". On hearing this, Chatty Cat immediately logged on to the net and found an online bakery and ordered some cakes to be delivered at my home address. Here is the photo of Chatty Cat browsing the online bakery for cakes :

Lalchi Cat was feeling so hungry after seeing the images of cakes that he couldn't wait till the ordered cake could arrive and immediately went inside the refrigerator to see if he could find anything else to eat. Here is a photo of Lalchi Cat inside the refrigerator :

Finally when the cake ordered by Chatty Cat arrived, everyone decorated it with toppings and candles and asked Kitty Cat to quickly extinguish the candles and cut the cake since they were all feeling hungry. But by this time, Kitty Cat was also feeling so hungry that instead of extinguishing the candles and cutting the cake and giving it to others, she herself started eating it as seen below :

And when I tried to pull her away so that others could also eat the cake, this was her reaction :

Finally Mani Mao made several pieces of the cake and gave it to everyone. And as expected, Greedi Cat ate so many pieces, that he couldn't walk even the slightest distance and started talking in english as seen below :

At last, everyone was so tired after the party, that they just couldn't control their sleep and had a good night's rest as seen below :

And Thus... And Thus I once again successfully proved that not only are cats lazy, but they are also greedy, rowdy and more undisciplined than human beings....

This time it was Mani Mao's turn as the ball was with her when the music stopped. It seemed she had already decided what scene she would play since she immediately got up and called Kitty Cat, Sniffy Dog, Greedi Cat, Lalchi Cat, Chatty Cat and Filmi Cat and explained to them the scene. By now I was also getting interested in playing some role so I asked Mani Mao if she could give me a role in that scene. Taking pity upon me, Mani Mao agreed. The scene was going to be a court scene based upon the adventures of Greedi Cat and Lalchi Cat. The background of the scene was that as usual Greedi Cat and Lalchi Cat had gone on some new adventure and as usual landed themselves in trouble. This time, the Cat Police had caught them while running away and charged them with the murder of a neighbourhood businessman Sharmaji. In the scene, Sniffy Dog was made the Judge since he was a dog and hence would not be partial to any cat. Kitty Cat was the public prosecutor and Mani Mao was Greedi and Lalchi Cat's lawyer. The non participating cats were going to be the audience in the court. Mani Mao also explained me of my important role in this scene and the dialogues I was supposed to say. As everyone took their places, the scene began.

Sniffy Dog : अदालत की कारवाई शुरू की जाए...
Me : मुजरिम ग्रीडी कॅट और लालची कॅट हाज़िर हो.
Mani Mao : Objection Milord .जब तक मेरे मुअक्कील पर इल्ज़ाम साबित नही होता, उन्हे मुजरिम ना कहा जाए.
Sniffy Dog : Objection sustained...
Sniffy then looked at me and asked me to repeat my dialogue properly.
Me : ग्रीडी कॅट और लालची कॅट हाज़िर हो.

Greedi and Lalchi Cat entered the court eating ice cream in cones. Kitty Cat then stood up and started ..
Kitty Cat : मीलॉर्ड, 24 फ़रवरी की रात को 11 बजे शहर के मशहूर उद्योगपति शर्माजी का किसी ने खून कर दिया. मौकाए वारदात पर जो सुराग मिले है और पुलिस को गवाहों से जो जानकारी मिली है उसके बिना पर पुलिस का ये मानना है की शर्माजी का खून ग्रीडी कॅट और लालची कॅट ने ही किया है. और अदालत के सामने ये साबित करने के लिए मैं कुछ गवाह पेश करने की इजाजत चाहती हूँ...
Sniffy Dog : इजाजत है.
Kitty Cat : मेरे पहले गवाह है काबिल और होशियार पुलिस इनस्पेक्टर शेरू कॅट जिन्होने इस हादसे की पूरी तरह से छानबीन की है...
Me : इनस्पेक्टर शेरू हाज़िर हो..

Chatty Cat entered the court posing as Inspector Sheru and stood in the witness box.
Me : छोटी कॅट के सर की कसम ख़ाके कहिए की जो कुछ कहेंगे सच कहेंगे... सच के सिवा कुछ नही कहेंगे...
(Chhoti Cat was startled to hear this and started "यूँ तो देखनेवाली बात ये है की हमारी कसम क्यूँ खाई जा रही है ?", but no one seemed to pay attention to her this time and the case continued...)
Chatty Cat : मैं छोटी के सर की कसम ख़ाके कहता हूँ की जो कुछ कहूँगा सच कहूँगा ..सच के सिवा कुछ नही कहूँगा..

Kitty Cat : इनस्पेक्टर शेरू, क्या आप अदालत को बताएंगे की 24 फ़रवरी की रात को शर्माजी के घर पर क्या हुआ ?
Chatty Cat (looking at Sniffy Dog) : जज साहब, 24 फ़रवरी को रोज की तरह मैं अपनी ड्यूटी पर सो रहा था तभी अचानक किसी का फोन आया की शर्मा जी का किसी ने खून कर दिया है... इस लिए मैं फौरन अपनी जीप लेके उनके बंगले पर पहुँचा... जैसे ही मैं उनके बंगले के नजदीक पहुँचा तो मैने देखा की ग्रीडी और लालची कॅट बंगले से बाहर निकलके जोर से भाग रहे थे. फिर मैने अपने हवलदार पांडू कॅट को उनका पीछा करके पकड़ने को कहा और खुद शर्मा जी के बंगले में गया...
Kitty Cat : वहाँ पर आपने क्या देखा ?
Chatty Cat : वहाँ पर मैने देखा की शर्मा जी अपने कमरे में मरे पड़े हैं और उनकी लाश के करीब एक खाली गिलास पड़ा हुआ है...
Kitty Cat : आपने उनके कमरे में और क्या देखा ?
Chatty Cat : मैने ये भी देखा की शर्मा जी के कमरे में उनकी तिजोरी खुली पड़ी हुई थी और उसमे कुछ भी नही था.

Kitty Cat : फिर आपने क्या किया , इनस्पेक्टर शेरू ?
Chatty Cat : फिर मैने शर्मा जी की लाश को पोस्ट मॉर्टेम के लिए भेज दिया और हमारे डिपार्टमेंट के फिंगर प्रिंट एक्सपर्ट को बुलाकर कमरे में से उंगलियों के और पैरों के निशान ले लिए... और फिंगर प्रिंट एक्सपर्ट के मुताबिक मौकाए वारदात पर जो पैरों के निशान मिले हैं वो बिल्कुल ग्रीडी और लालची कॅट के पैरों के निशान से मिलते हैं...

Kitty Cat : और पोस्ट मॉर्टेम की रिपोर्ट क्या कहती है ?
Chatty Cat : पोस्ट मॉर्टेम की रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक शर्मा जी की मौत किसी जहरीली दवाई पीने से हुई है जो उन्हे शायद ग्लास में दी गयी थी ...
Kitty Cat (turning to Sniffy Dog) : मीलॉर्ड, मौकाए वारदात पे ग्रीडी और लालची कॅट के पैरों के निशान मिलना, शर्मा जी की तिजोरी में से रुपये गायब होना और उसी वक्त शर्मा जी के बंगले के बाहर ग्रीडी और लालची कॅट का रंगे हाथों पकड़ा जाना इससे ये साफ ज़ाहिर होता है की ग्रीडी और लालची कॅट ने ही पैसों के लिए शर्मा जी का बेरहमी से खून कर दिया... इस लिए मेरी अदालत से गुजारिश है की दोनो को कड़ी से कड़ी सजा दी जाए...That's all Milord...

Sniffy Dog (turning to Mani Mao) : आपको इनस्पेक्टर शेरू से कुछ पूछना है ?
Mani Mao now got up from her seat and went near Chatty Cat

Mani Mao : हाँ तो इनस्पेक्टर शेरू, क्या आप बता सकते हैं की आपके हवलदार पांडू कॅट ने ग्रीडी और लालची कॅट को कहाँ पकड़ा ?
Chatty Cat : जी, शर्मा जी के बंगले के बाहर..
Mani Mao : तो ये आप कैसे कह सकते हैं की जिस वक्त शर्मा जी का खून हुआ, उस वक्त वो दोनो शर्मा जी के कमरे में थे ?
Chatty Cat : मैने कहा ना .मौकाए वारदात पर जो पैरों के निशान मिले हैं वो ग्रीडी और लालची कॅट के पैरों के निशान से बिल्कुल मिलते जुलते हैं...
Mani Mao : इससे ये साबित नही होता की शर्मा जी का खून भी उन्होने किया है... हो सकता है उस वक्त उनके कमरे में ग्रीडी और लालची कॅट के अलावा कोई और भी मौजूद हो जिसने शर्मा जी का खून किया हो ...
Chatty Cat (now looking puzzled) : उनके कमरे में और कौन हो सकता है ?

Mani Mao : इनस्पेक्टर शेरू, क्या आपने कभी बिल्ली देखी है ?
Chatty Cat : जी, रोज सुबह तो अपने आप को आईने में देखता हूँ .
(laughter from audience)

Sniffy Dog : Order Order.

Mani Mao : और क्या आपने कभी चूहा देखा है ?
Chatty Cat : कैसी बात कर रहे हैं आप वकील साहिबा ? चूहों को पकड़ने के लिए ही तो भगवान ने हमें बनाया है.
(laughter from audience)

Mani Mao : काफी समझदार मालूम होते हैं आप.तो मुझे ये बताइए की एक चूहे और बिल्ली के पैरों में बड़े पैर किसके होते हैं ?
Kitty Cat (getting up) : Objection Milord, मेरी काबिल दोस्त फिजूल के सवाल पूछके अदालत का वक्त बरबाद कर रही है...

Mani Mao : जी मैं फिजूल के सवाल नही कर रही हूँ, बल्कि कुछ साबित करना चाहती हूँ . मुझे अपनी बात पूरी करने का मौका दिया जाए मीलॉर्ड.
Sniffy Dog : Objection overruled, मनी माऊ को अपनी बात पूरी करने का मौका दिया जाए...

Mani Mao : Thank you Milord (then turning to Chatty Cat) : हाँ तो इनस्पेक्टर शेरू, मुझे बताइए की एक चूहे और बिल्ली के पैरों में बड़े पैर किसके होते हैं ?
Chatty Cat : जी बिल्ली के.

Mani Mao : और जब बिल्ली एक चूहे को पकड़ने की कोशिश करती है, तो पीछे कौन होता है ? चूहा या बिल्ली ?
Chatty Cat : जी. बिल्ली.

Mani Mao : तो यकीन कीजिए की अगर ज़मीन पर एक बिल्ली चूहे के पीछे भाग रही है और अगर उसके पैर चूहे के पैरों से बड़े हैं तो ज़मीन पर पैरों के निशान किसके दिखेंगे ? चूहे के या बिल्ली के ?
Chatty Cat (visualizing the scene) : जी. बिल्ली के .

Mani Mao : तो अगर शर्मा जी के कमरे में ग्रीडी और लालची कॅट के पैरों के निशान मिले हैं, तो क्या इसका ये मतलब नही होता की वहाँ पर एक या ज्यादा चूहे भी मौजूद थे ?
Chatty Cat : लेकिन.
Mani Mao (shouting) : मेरे सवाल का जवाब हाँ या ना में दीजिए ... वहाँ पर चूहे हो सकते हैं या नहीं ?
Chatty Cat (getting scared) : हाँ, हो सकते है.
Main Mao (turning to Sniffy Dog) : Point to be noted Milord, अभी अभी इनस्पेक्टर शेरू ने बताया है की शर्मा जी के कमरे में उस वक्त कुछ चूहे भी मौजूद थे .
Chatty Cat is trying hard to remember when he had said this...
Mani Mao (turning back to Chatty Cat) : हाँ तो इनस्पेक्टर शेरू, आपने अपनी रिपोर्ट में लिखा है की उस दिन ग्रीडी और लालची कॅट शर्मा जी का खून करके उनके पैसे लेके भाग रहे थे... ऐसा आपको क्यूँ लगा ?
Chatty Cat : मैने कहा ना की शर्मा जी के कमरे की तिजोरी खुली हुई थी और उसमे से रुपये गायब थे .
Mani Mao : तो जब पांडू कॅट ने ग्रीडी और लालची कॅट को पकड़ा तो आपको उनके पास से वो रुपये भी मिले होंगे ?
Chatty Cat : जी नही... उनके पास मुझे कोई रुपये तो नही मिले .
Mani Mao : तो आप ये कैसे कह सकते हैं की शर्मा जी का खून ग्रीडी और लालची कॅट ने रुपयों के लिया किया ? अगर ऐसी बात है तो आखिर वो रुपये गये कहाँ ?
Chatty Cat : जी, हो सकता हैं उन्होने वो रुपये शर्मा जी के बगीचे में कहीं छुपाए हो . शायद उन्होने सोचा होगा की बाद में आके ले जाएंगे...
Mani Mao (again shouting) : ये 'हो सकता है' और 'शायद' का क्या मतलब है, इनस्पेक्टर शेरू ? . अदालत शक के बिना पर नही चलती.. अदालत ठोस सबूत मांगती है... और आपके पास ऐसा कोई सबूत नही है जिससे ये साबित हो सके की ग्रीडी और लालची कॅट ने ही शर्मा जी का खून किया है. इतना ही नही आप तो ये भी साबित नही कर सके की उन्होने शर्मा जी की तिजोरी से रुपये चुराए या उनके पास खून करने के लिए कोई और मकसद था... और बिना मकसद के किसी जुर्म का कोई मतलब नही होता... आप जा सकते हैं.
(claps and whistles from audience)

Mani Mao returned to her seat and turning to Kitty Cat said "You may proceed...".
Kitty cat (turning to Sniffy Dog) : मेरा अगला गवाह है शर्मा जी का पुराना और वफादार नौकर रामू...
Me : रामू कॅट हाज़िर हो.
Hearing this, Filmi Cat came in the witness box wearing a small piece of cloth on his shoulder indicating that he is a servant cat.
Me : रामू कॅट, छोटी के सर की कसम ख़ाके कहो की जो कुछ कहोगे सच कहोगे सच के सिवा कुछ नही कहोगे.

Ramu Cat : मैं छोटी और बड़ी दोनो के सर की कसम ख़ाके कहता हूँ की जो कुछ कहूँगा सच कहूँगा, सच के सिवाय कुछ नही कहूँगा.
(laughter from audience)
Sniffy Dog : Order Order .. (turning to Ramu Cat) : रामू, तुमसे जितना कहा गया है उतना ही कहो.

Kitty Cat now got up from her seat and went near to the witness box to ask questions
Kitty Cat : हाँ तो रामू, क्या तुम अदालत को बता सकते हो की तुमने 24 फ़रवरी की रात को क्या देखा ?
Ramu Cat : जी 24 फ़रवरी की रात को मैं शर्मा जी की रसोई में खाना बना रहा था तो अचानक मुझे खिड़की में से किसी के अंदर आने का आवाज़ सुनाई दी... इसलिए मैने बाहर के कमरे में आके देखा तो ग्रीडी और लालची कॅट खिड़की से बंगले के अंदर आ रहे थे ...
Kitty Cat : तुम इतने यकीन के साथ कैसे कह सकते हो की वो दोनो ग्रीडी और लालची कॅट ही थे ?
Ramu Cat : जी मैं उन्हे खूब पहचानता हूँ... पिछले एक साल से वो रोज हमारे बंगले में इसी तरह आ रहे हैं...
Kitty Cat : उनके रोज ऐसे आने की वजह ?
Ramu Cat : जी दरअसल मैने ही उन्हे कहा था की रोज आके अगर बंगले में कोई चूहे हो तो उन्हे पकड़े...

Mani Mao who was listening to all this carefully suddenly got up and said to Sniffy Dog : "Point to be noted Milord... ग्रीडी और लालची कॅट अपनी मर्जी से शर्मा जी के बंगले में नही गये थे, बल्कि उन्हे रामू कॅट ने खुद चूहे पकड़ने के लिए बुलाया था.

Kitty Cat (continuing) : फिर क्या हुआ ?
Ramu Cat : कुछ नही . ग्रीडी और लालची कॅट बंगले में रोज की तरह चूहे ढूँढने लगे और मैं वापस रसोई में अपना काम करने लगा . उस रात मैं अपने गाँव जानेवाला था इसलिए रात को 11 बजे मालिक से मिलके अपने गाँव चला गया...
Kitty Cat : क्या उस समय आपके मालिक ज़िंदा थे ?
Ramu Cat : जी बिल्कुल, मेरी उनसे बात भी हुई.
Kitty Cat (turning to Sniffy Dog) : इस बात पे गौर किया जाए मीलॉर्ड.. रात को 11 बजे शर्मा जी ज़िंदा थे लेकिन जब पांडू कॅट ने ग्रीडी और लालची को उनके बंगले के बाहर तकरीबन 11:30 बजे भागते हुए पकड़ा तब तक शर्मा जी की मौत हो चुकी थी. और उस समय उनके बंगले में इन दोनो के अलावा और कोई नही था... इससे ये साफ जाहिर होता है की शर्मा जी का खून ग्रीडी और लालची कॅट ने ही किया है... इस लिए मेरी अदालत से गुजारिश है की उन्हे कड़ी से कड़ी सजा दी जाए...That's all Milord...

Sniffy Dog (to Mani Mao) : मनी माऊ, तुम्हे रामू कॅट से कुछ पूछना है ?
Mani Mao replied "Yes Milord" and got up and went near the witness box and continued...
Mani Mao : हाँ तो रामू मुझे ये बताओ की जब तुमने ग्रीडी और लालची कॅट को 24 फ़रवरी की रात खिड़की से बंगले में आते देखा तो तुमने पुलिस को खबर क्यूँ नही की ?
Ramu Cat : जी मैने जरूरी नही समझा .
Mani Mao : क्या मैं पूछ सकती हूँ की तुमने ऐसा करना जरूरी क्यूँ नही समझा ?
Ramu Cat : मैने बताया ना. वो दोनो पिछले एक साल से रोज बंगले में आते थे, लेकिन इससे पहले बंगले में कभी कोई हादसा नही हुआ, इसलिए मैने उस दिन पुलिस को खबर करना जरूरी नही समझा.
Mani Mao (turning to Sniffy dog) : Point to be noted Milord, अभी अभी रामू कॅट ने बताया है की ग्रीडी और लालची कॅट दोनो पिछले एक साल से बंगले में आ रहे हैं, मगर आजतक उनकी वजह से बंगले में कभी कोई हादसा नही हुआ है .

Mani Mao (turning to Ramu again and showing him her new shade of clawpolish) : वैसे मेरा ये नया 'clawpolish' कैसे लग रहा है ?
(laughter from audience)
Kitty Cat (banging the table) : Objection Milord, इस सवाल का इस मुकदमे से कोई तालुक् नही है...
Sniffy Dog : Objection sustained... मनी माऊ, आप गवाहों से वही सवाल कीजिए जिनका इस मुकदमे से कोई तालुक् हो...

Mani Mao : Sorry Milord... (turning to Ramu again ) : रामू, तुमने कुछ देर पहले कहा की तुम उस रात को अपने गाँव गये थे. क्या मैं पूँछ सकती हूँ क्यूँ ?
Ramu Cat : जी गाँव में मुन्नी की तबीयत उस दिन अचानक खराब हो गयी थी इसलिए. डॉक्टर ने कहा की उसका ऑपरेशन करना पड़ेगा... इसलिए मैं गाँव गया था.
Mani Mao : ये मुन्नी कौन है ? आपकी बेटी ?
Ramu Cat : जी नही, मुन्नी हमारी पालतू गाय का नाम है...
(laughter from audience)

Sniffy Dog : Order Order... क्या किसी गाय का नाम मुन्नी नही हो सकता ?
Mani Mao : अच्छा तो रामू, एक बात बताओ... इससे पहले तुम गाँव कब गये हो ?
Ramu Cat (remembering) : जी... कुछ दो साल पहले .
Mani Mao (turning to Sniffy Dog) : मीलॉर्ड, इस बात पे गौर किया जाए. जो आदमी दो साल से अपने गाँव नही गया वो आदमी ठीक उसी रात को गाँव गया जिस दिन शर्मा जी का खून हुआ . और उसी रात उनके कमरे की तिजोरी से रुपये भी गायब हुए जो पुलिस को ग्रीडी और लालची कॅट के पास नही मिले .

Mani Mao (to Ramu Cat ) : रामू, एक और बात बताओ... तुम्हारे मालिक किस तरह के इंसान थे ?
Ramu Cat : जी वो खाते पीते किस्म के इंसान थे .
Mani Mao : क्या तुम अदालत को बता सकते हो की वो रोज क्या खाते थे और क्या पीते थे ?
Ramu Cat : जी वो रोज खाना खाते थे और पानी पीते थे .
(laughter from audience)
Sniffy Dog : Order Order...

Mani Mao : मेरा मतलब है की क्या उन्हे कोई ऐसी चीज़ खाने की या पीने की आदत थी जिसके बारे में और किसी को पता नही है ?
Ramu Cat : जी मेरे मालिक को रोज रात को सोने से पहले एक तली हुई मछली खाने की और एक ग्लास दूध पीने की आदत थी .
Mani Mao : और ये उन्हे कौन देता था ?
Ramu Cat : जी मैं ही उन्हे रोज रात को ये दोनो चीज़ें बनाके उनके कमरे में जाके देता था .
Mani Mao : तो जाहिर है की 24 फ़रवरी की रात को भी तुमने ये चीज़ें शर्मा जी को दी होंगी ?
Ramu Cat : जी हाँ

Mani Mao (turning to Sniffy Dog) : अब सब कुछ साफ हो चुका है मीलॉर्ड. 24 फ़रवरी की रात को रामू कॅट ने शर्मा जी के दूध के ग्लास में ज़हरीली दवाई मिलाई और उन्हे पीला दी. और जैसे ही उनकी मौत हुई, रामू कॅट ने उनकी तिजोरी खोलके उसमे से पैसे चुराए और अपने गाँव भाग गया. इसलिए असली मुजरिम ग्रीडी और लालची नही, बल्कि रामू कॅट है.
Ramu Cat : नही ये झूठ है.. मैं अपने मालिक का खून कैसे कर सकता हूँ ? वो तो एकदम भले इंसान थे, बल्कि उन्होने खुद मुन्नी के ऑपरेशन के लिए तिजोरी में से पैसे निकालके मुझे दिए थे.
Mani Mao : हर मुजरिम अपने आप को बेकसूर ही मानता है. इसकी बातों का यकीन नही किया जाए मीलॉर्ड.
So saying, Mani Mao returned to her seat.

After thinking for a while, Sniffy said to Greedi and Lalchi Cat : "इससे पहले की अदालत अपना फ़ैसला सुनाए, तुम्हें अपनी सफाई में कुछ कहना है ?"
Greedi Cat (frightened) : क्या हमें जेल में गाजर का हलवा मिलेगा ?
(laughter from audience)

Sniffy Dog : Order Order. ये मजाक का वक्त नही है. किसी की ज़िंदगी और मौत का सवाल है.
Lalchi Cat : जी हम बिल्कुल बेकसूर हैं जज साहब. हम तो रोज शर्मा जी के बंगले पर चूहे पकड़ने के लिए जाते थे. लेकिन हाल ही में पता चला था की शर्मा जी रोज रात को एक तली हुई मछली खाते थे और दूध पीते थे. ये दो चीज़ें हमें भी बहुत पसंद है. इसलिए हमने सोचा की उस रात चूहे पकड़ने के बजाय उनके कमरे में जाके मछली खायेंगे और दूध पिएंगे. इसलिए हम रामू का पीछा करते हुए शर्मा जी के कमरे में गये थे लेकिन.

Before Lalchi could say anything further, Chatty Cat suddenly came in the court room and handing over an envelope to Mani Mao and whispered something in her ear. Hearing that, Mani Mao's eyes seem to widen and she got up from her seat and turning towards Sniffy Dog said :
Mani Mao : मीलॉर्ड, अभी अभी मेरे हाथ एक ऐसा सबूत लगा है जो इस मुकदमें पे नयी रोशनी डाल सकता है.. ये सबूत देखने से दूध का दूध और पानी का पानी हो जाएगा. इसलिए मैं ये सबूत अदालत के सामने पेश करने की इजाजत चाहती हूँ.
Sniffy Dog : इजाजत है..

Mani Mao then tore open the envelope given by Chatty Cat and removed a CD from it. She then gave it to the court assistant (that's me !!!) to play it for everyone. She then informed the court that this CD was taken from the video camera of Bunty, the 6 year old grandson of Sharmaji. As I played the CD, everyone could see the view of Mr Sharma's room which was captured when Bunty entered the room with the video camera turned on. He then kept the camera over the TV so that he could shoot himself in the camera. Taking a badminton racquet in one hand, he goes jumping to Mr Sharma and says

Bunty : दादाजी.. बॅडमिंटन..???
Mr Sharma : अरे बंटी बेटा, तुम अभी तक सोए नही?. कितनी रात हो चुकी है.
Bunty : दादाजी.. बॅडमिंटन..???
Mr Sharma : अरे हाँ मैने तुझसे कहा था की हम शाम को बॅडमिंटन खेलेंगे लेकिन मैं तो भूल ही गया... कोई बात नही, हम कल सुबह ज़रूर खेलेंगे .
Bunty : दादाजी.. बॅडमिंटन..???
Mr Sharma : अरे बेटा अब इस उम्र में पहले जैसे भागदौड़ नही होती मुझसे .
Bunty : दादाजी.. बॅडमिंटन..???
Mr Sharma : ऐसा करो तुम अपना नौकर है ना रामू कॅट... उसके साथ बॅडमिंटन खेलो.
Bunty : दादाजी.. बॅडमिंटन..???

Now Sharmaji gets upset and takes the badminton racquet from Bunty's hand and hits him on the leg with that racquet. Bunty starts crying and leaves the room leaving the video camera in ON mode over the TV . After some time, Ramu Cat enters the room with a plate of fish in one hand and a glass of milk in another. Mr Sharma hears someone coming and asks : "कौन ? "
Ramu Cat : मालिक, मैं आपका पुराना और वफादार नौकर रामू कॅट.
Mr Sharma : अरे रामू, कहो कैसे आना हुआ ?
Ramu Cat : जी, आपके लिए तली हुई मछली और दूध लाया हूँ.
Mr Sharma : अरे हाँ उधर टेबल पे रख दो... मैं बाद में खा लूँगा .

As Ramu turns to keep the items on the table, the video shows two cats Greedi Cat and Lalchi Cat stealthily entering the room and watching carefully where Ramu is keeping the plate of fish and glass of milk. After keeping both these things on a table, Ramu Cat turns to Mr Sharma and says :
Ramu Cat : मालिक, आपसे कुछ बात करनी थी.
Mr Sharma : हाँ कहो.
Ramu Cat : जी गाँव से टेलिग्रॅम आया है की मुन्नी की तबीयत अचानक खराब हो गयी है... डॉक्टर ने कहा है की अगर दो दिन के अंदर ऑपरेशन नही किया तो जान को खतरा हो सकता है... आपकी इजाजत हो तो मैं कुछ दिनो के लिए गाँव हो आऊ?.
While this conversation is going on, Greedi Cat and Lalchi Cat silently go and hide under the bed in the room waiting for Ramu Cat to go away.
Mr Sharma (to Ramu) : अरे हाँ तुम ज़रूर अपने गाँव हो आओ... वैसे भी पिछले दो साल से तुम अपने गाँव नही गये हो. और पैसों की चिंता मत करना . मुन्नी के ऑपरेशन के लिए अगर पैसा चाहिए तो मुझसे ले लेना...
So saying, Mr Sharma goes to the locker in his room and opens it and gives whatever cash is left in the locker.
Ramu Cat : जी... बहुत मेहेरबानी आपकी... आपका ये एहसान मैं ज़िंदगी भर नही भूलूंगा...

So saying, Ramu Cat finally leaves the room to go to his village and Mr. Sharma returns to an armchair and settles down in it reading a book. Seeing that the coast is now clear, Greedi and Lalchi Cat very silently come out from under the bed and without making any noise climb onto the table and start eating the fish and drinking the milk kept by Ramu Cat. While they are engrossed in doing this, they suddenly hear a shreak from Mr. Sharma and as they turn their heads in his direction, they find that there are two mice near the bed which have just come out of their holes. Seeing them, Mr. Sharma who is scared of mice shouts and goes and jumps on the bed. Seeing all this, Greedi and Lalchi Cat immediately head towards the mice to catch them, but the mice sense them coming and run out of the room with Greedi and Lalchi following them closely. Meanwhile Mr. Sharma is so scared by all this, that he has a mild heart attack. So he rushes to the drawer of the table in which he has supposedly kept some tablets for such situations. But unfortunately he also has kept a bottle of some rat poison tablets in the same drawer planning to spread them under his bed later on to control the rats in his house. But now in a hurry he mistakenly takes the rat poison tablets thinking they are for the heart attack. After some time, he falls unconscious and due to lack of medical treatment on time, unfortunately breathes his last.

After watching the video, everyone now realised what exactly had happened and so Sniffy Dog gave his final judgement...
Sniffy Dog : सारे सबूतों और गवाहों को मद्दे नज़र रखते हुए अदालत इस नतीजे पे पहुँची है की 24 फ़रवरी की रात को शर्मा जी के बंगले पर उनका जो खून हुआ और जो चोरी हुई, उसमे ग्रीडी और लालची कॅट का कोई हाथ नही था... वो तो महज़ एक हादसा था और ग्रीडी और लालची कॅट तो सिर्फ हालात के शिकार बन गये... बल्कि सच्चाई तो ये है की जब हवलदार पांडू कॅट ने उन्हे भागते हुए पकड़ा तब वो दोनो चूहों का पीछा कर रहे थे... मतलब अपना फ़र्ज़ निभा रहे थे... इस लिए अदालत दोनो को बेकसूर मानते हुए हिन्द दफ़ा 223(a) के तहत बा इज्जत रिहा करती है...
There was a clap from the audience as Greedi and Lalchi Cat hugged each other on hearing this..

Sniffy Dog continued : और शर्मा जी की मौत जिस तरह से हुई उससे सबक लेते हुए और ऐसे हादसे दुबारा ना हो इसलिए अदालत ये हुकुम देती है की आज के बाद हर इंसान को अपने घर में कम से कम एक बिल्ली पालनी होगी जिसकी वजह से घर में कोई चूहे नही होगे और इंसानों को चूहे मारनी वाली दवाइयां अपने पास रखने की जरूरत नही पड़ेगी और ऐसे हादसे फिर नही होंगे. घर में चूहे ना होने की वजह से इंसानों की प्लेग जैसी जान लेवा बीमारियों से भी रक्षा होगी और ग्रीडी और लालची कॅट जैसे बेरोजगार बिल्लियों को नौकरी मिलेगी जिससे समाज में छोटा बिल्ली जैसे मासूम गुंडे पैदा नही होंगे... और जिस बहादुरी के साथ ग्रीडी और लालची कॅट ने अपना फ़र्ज़ निभाया उसे देखते हुए अदालत ये हुकुम भी देती है की जब तक शर्मा जी का पोथा बंटी 18 साल का नही हो जाता तब तक ग्रीडी और लालची दोनो शर्मा जी के बंगले पर उसकी हिफ़ाज़त के लिए रहेंगे... और रामू कॅट रोज उन्हे उनकी पसंद का खाना बनाके खिलाएगा...
Again there was a big clap from the audience as Sniffy Dog completed his judgement and went inside.

After that everyone got up and Greedi Cat called up Badeee Cat on her mobile and said :
Greedi Cat : माँ, एक खुशख़बरी है... अदालत ने मुझे और लालची को बा इज्जत रिहा कर दिया है...
Badeee Cat : सच ? मैने कहा था ना... जाको राखे साईयां... मार सके ना कोई...
Greedi Cat (getting confused) : लेकिन माँ, तुमने तो कहा था की हम सब ज़िंदगी के रंगमंच की कठपुतलियाँ हैं, जिनकी डोर उपरवाले के हाथ में बंधी हुई है...
Badeee Cat : एक ही बात है बेटा, वैसे भी कालिदास जी ने कहा है ना की नाम में क्या रखा है ...
Greedi Cat (again getting confused) : लेकिन माँ, तुमने तो कहा था की ये शेक्सपियर ने कहा है...
Badeee Cat (getting upset) : मैने कहा ना की नाम में क्या रखा है... कालिदास ने कहा हो या शेक्सपियर ने कहा हो... किसी ने कहा तो है...
Greedi Cat : ठीक है माँ... और हाँ... एक और खुशख़बरी है... मुझे शर्मा जी के बंगले में नौकरी मिल गयी है...
Badeee Cat : सच ? भगवान का लाख लाख शुक्र है... मैने कहा था ना की उपरवाले के घर में देर है लेकिन अंधेर नही...
So saying, Badeee Cat suddenly starts singing a philosophical song :
गम का बादल जो छाए...
तो हम मुस्कुराते रहें...
अपनी आँखों में आशाओं के ...
दीप जलाते रहें...
आज बिगड़े तो...
कल फिर बने...
आज रूठे तो...
कल फिर मने...
वक्त भी जैसे एक मीत है...
ज़िंदगी की यही रीत है...
ज़िंदगी की यही रीत है...
हार के बाद ही जीत है...
थोड़े आँसू है... थोड़ी हंसी...
आज गम है तो कल है खुशी...
Seeing that Badeee Cat was in no mood to stop, Greedi Cat said "माँ, मुझे बहुत जोरो की भूक लगी है..."
Hearing that, Badeee Cat finally stopped singing and said "बेटा जल्दी से घर आ जाओ, मैने तुम्हारे लिए गाजर का हलवा बनाया है..."

That was the end of the scene from Mani Mao.

Ever since my last attempt at proving to my pet cat Kitty Cat that human beings are more intelligent than cats in which I had successfully proved that cats are not as hardworking as human beings, I was looking for another opportunity to prove again that human beings are more intelligent than cats. Last week I found that opportunity. It was Kitty Cat's birthday and I came up with an idea to prove my point. The plan was simple. I would tell Kitty Cat that there would be a birthday party in our house on that evening and that I would be bringing some cakes for the occasion. But following her technique, instead of actually going to the shop and buying any cakes, I would simply download some images of cakes from the internet and show it to her. After seeing the tempting images of the cakes, Kitty Cat would start feeling hungry and would finally ask me for a real cake. I would then tell her that I will give a real cake only if she gives me in writing that human beings are more intelligent than cats. Seeing that there is no choice Kitty Cat would give it to me in writing and thus I will have proof from Kitty Cat herself that cats are not as intelligent as human beings. Also to have some witnesses for this occasion, I asked her to invite one or two of her friends to our house on that evening. Kitty Cat agreed to this and so I started searching the net for some images of cakes.

By the time it was evening on the actual day of Kitty Cat's birthday, I had downloaded some good images of cakes from the net. As I heard some scratching on the door, I knew it was Kitty Cat and opened the door, but was shocked to see that she had invited her entire gang of friends for the party. There was Greedi Cat, Lalchi Cat, Sniffy Dog, Lazeee Dog (they had brought him on a stretcher because he refused to get up from his sleep to walk to my house), Chatty Cat, Naughty Cat, Filmi Cat, her cousins Badeee Cat and Chhoti Cat and even the dreaded gangster Chhota Billi (I never knew Kitty Cat even had gangsters as friends). Last but not the least was their gang leader Mani Mao (also known as Wagha Chi Mao Shi in her native country Japan) who always keeps preaching her gang members that cats are more intelligent than human beings.

Before they could enter the house, Sniffy Dog asked them to wait outside and came in and made a round of my entire house sniffing every item to make sure that there were no explosives or drugs hidden in my house. (See how dutiful he is ....). After he gave the green signal, everyone entered the house looking forward to enjoy the party.

Before they could settle down, Chhota Billi stopped them and took out his claws and asked each one of them to give him his 'installment'. To make sure that he was the original Chhota Billi, Sniffy went and sniffed at his nose. But Chhota Billi thought that Sniffy Dog didn't have any money and hence was paying him respect, so he let him go without taking any installment. Seeing this, everyone else also went and sniffed at him and he let everyone go without taking any installment. (See how soft hearted he is ....). Finally it was my turn. I too decided to follow suit and simply touched his tiny nose with the tip of my index finger to indicate that I was paying him respect. But by this time, he had realized that something was wrong and that everyone was making a fool of him. So he quickly caught my index finger between his tiny teeth and wouldn't let it go till I paid the 'installment'. Seeing there was no escape, I took out some fake plastic currency notes and kept it in front of him. This seemed to satisfy him and he was about to release my finger, but suddenly someone shouted from behind that the notes were fake ( I guess it was Mani Mao...). Hearing this, Chhota Billi now caught hold of two of my fingers in his teeth and I finally had to give him some real money to free my fingers (See how dangerous he is ....)

Finally everyone settled down on the carpet and before eating the cake (which I believe they were thinking that I had actually bought), they decided to have some fun by playing games. Instead of playing the usual games like dumb charades and Antakshari, Filmi Cat suggested that they play a new game and asked me whether I could be a judge for that game. I readily agreed because till that time I didn't know that the definition of a judge is different in the pet world than it is in the human world. Unlike the human world where a judge is supposed to keep scores of the participants and announce the winner, in the pet world, a judge was a person who would make arrangements for all that would be required by the participants during the game. The game was similar to Passing the Ball in which each participants would pass a ball to each other while some music was playing in the background. And when the music stopped, the cat who would have the ball with him/her would say some memorable dialogues or enact scenes from Indian Cinema. Everyone agreed and thus I was first asked to bring the ball and make arrangements for playing and stopping the music.

As they sat round in a circle, I started the music and they started passing the ball. When the music first stopped, the ball was with Chatty Cat so it was his turn to start a filmi scene. After thinking for a while, Chatty Cat asked me to bring a tray with some CDs in it. When I did so, he put it on his head and started walking around the room shouting "सॉफ्टवेअर ले लो सॉफ्टवेअर . नये नये सॉफ्टवेअर..". After a while, Kitty Cat stopped him and there was the following exchange of dialogues between them :

Kitty Cat : ओ सॉफ्टवेअर वाले भैया, ये सॉफ्टवेअर कैसे दिए ?
Chatty Cat : सबकी अलग अलग कीमत है मेमसाब, कौनसा चाहिए बोलिये ?
So saying, he lowered the tray of CDs from his head and Kitty Cat started browsing the CDs reading what was written on them. As she was browsing the CDs, out of curiosity she asked "वैसे लाते कहाँ से हो रोज इतने सॉफ्टवेअर ?"
Chatty Cat : वो एक वेबसाइट है - www.uselessdownloads.com - वहीं से डाउनलोड करता हूँ..
Suddenly Kitty Cat seemed to find something familiar on one CD and showing it to Chatty Cat asked "ये सॉफ्टवेअर कितने को दिया ?"
Chatty Cat : ये ? पचास हज़ार.
Kitty Cat : अच्छा ? करता क्या है ये सॉफ्टवेअर ?
Chatty Cat : कुछ नही करता.. हर घंटे में दो बार क्रॅश होता है.
Kitty Cat : अच्छा ? तो मुझे इसके दो CDs दे दो .
So Chatty Cat gave her the 2 CDs and after taking the payment, started to leave. But before leaving, he said "बुरा मत मानना किटी कॅट, लेकिन तुम्हे सौदा करना बिल्कुल नही आता ."
Kitty Cat : क्यूँ ?
Chatty Cat : अगर तुम ये सॉफ्टवेअर मुझसे आधी कीमत में माँगती, तो भी मैं तुम्हे दे देता.
Kitty Cat : सौदा तो तुम्हे करना नही आता, Chatty Cat. अगर तुम मुझसे इस सॉफ्टवेअर की दुगनी कीमत माँगते तो भी मैं तुम्हे दे देती.
Chatty Cat : अच्छा ? ऐसी क्या खास बात है इस सॉफ्टवेअर में ?
Kitty Cat : जब ये सॉफ्टवेअर बन रहा था, तब मेरे मास्टर ने इसमे कोडिंग की थी.. और आज ये सॉफ्टवेअर मैं अपने मास्टर को तोहफे में देने जा रही हूँ.

(I am still trying to figure out whether that was a compliment or a sarcastic remark from Kitty Cat for me.)

After Kitty Cat and Chatty Cat returned to their seats, I started the music and the ball was rolling again. When the music stopped, the ball was on Lazee Dog's head who was as usual sleeping. So the others tried to wake him up to play the game, but as usual he recited his usual dialogue "सोने दे ना.मुझे थोड़ी ये खेल खेल के Olympics में जाना है.. घर की रखवाली ही तो करनी है.सोने दे ना."

Skipping him, the game continued. This time, the ball was with Greedi Cat when the music stopped. After thinking for a while, Greedi Cat called up Badeee Cat to enact a scene. In the scene, Badeee Cat had become a philosophical mother who is always teaching Hindi Filmi philosophy to Greedi Cat, her son in the scene.
Greedi Cat : माँ. मुझे बहुत जोरो की भूक लगी है.
Badeee Cat : बेटा, जल्दी से हाथ मुँह धो लो. मैने तुम्हारे लिए तुम्हारे पसन्द का गाजर का हलवा बनाया है.
Greedi Cat : सच ? वो तो मुझे बहुत पसन्द है.
Badeee Cat then brings a box that has a picture of jalebis on it. Seeing the box, Greedi Cat screams in delight.
Greedi Cat : जलेबी ???? लेकिन माँ, तुमने तो कहा था की गाजर का हलवा बनाया है...
Badeee Cat : बेटा, शेक्सपियर ने कहा है ना की नाम में क्या रखा है... गुलाब को किसी और नाम से पुकारो तो भी वो गुलाब ही रहता है... उसकी खुशबू कम नही होती... और वैसे भी ये सब अपने हाथ में थोड़ी होता है बेटा .... हम सब तो ज़िंदगी के रंगमंच की कठपुतलियाँ है जिनकी डोर उपरवाले के हाथ में बंधी हुई है... वो अपनी उंगलियो से कब किसको कैसे नचाएगा ये कोई नही बता सकता ...
Greedi Cat : कोई बात नही माँ... मुझे जलेबी भी बहुत पसंद है...
Badeee Cat : लेकिन बेटा, जरा संभालके खाना . नही तो पेट खराब हो जाएगा.
Greedi Cat : तुम फिकिर मत करो माँ. मैं एक एक जलेबी चुन चुन के खाऊँगा. और ये जलेबी खाने से मुझे दुनिया की कोई भी ताकत नही रोक सकती...
Badeee Cat : बेटा, ये सब अपने हाथ में थोड़ी होता है. इन्सान लाख चाहे भी तो क्या होता है. वही होता है जो मंजूरे खुदा होता है.
So saying, Badeee Cat opens the cover of the jalebi box and Greedi finds that instead of jalebis, there are rasagullas inside. He again screams in delight.
Greedi Cat : रोशोगुल्ला ??? ये तो मुझे बहुत पसंद है... ई तो ओमार खूब भालो बोशी.

The game resumed as I started the music again and this time the ball was with Filmi Cat when the music stopped. After thinking it over, Filmi Cat called Chota Billi and they enacted the popular scene from the old movie Deewar. In this scene, Chhota Billi played the role of a Don and Filmi Cat played the role of his brother who is an Imaandar Police Afsar.

Chhota Billi : जानते हो फिल्मी, मैने तुम्हे मिलने के लिए यहाँ किसलिए बुलाया है ?
Filmi Cat : मेरे घर आना तुम्हारी शान के खिलाफ है .... तुम्हारे घर आना मेरे उसूलों के खिलाफ है.जाहिर है हम कहीं और ही मिल सकते थे...
Chhota Billi : नही...कहीं और नही....हम सिर्फ यहीं मिल सकते थे ... क्यूँकि इसी फूटपाथ पे बचपन में हमने कई रातें एक साथ गुजारी है.आज हम एक दूसरे से कितने ही अलग क्यूँ ना हुए हो.. हमारे बचपन एक दूसरे से कभी अलग नही हो सकते.... लेकिन इससे पहले की मैं कुछ कहूँ, मैं ये जानना चाहता हूँ की आज मुझे सुनने वाला कौन है .एक भाई या एक पुलिस अफसर ?
Filmi Cat : जब तक एक भाई बोलेगा, एक भाई सुनेगा... जब एक मुजरिम बोलेगा, एक पुलिस अफसर सुनेगा...
Chhota Billi : फिल्मी, तुम नही जानते ये पुलिस की नौकरी करके तुमने कितनी बड़ी मुसीबत मोल ली है...
Filmi Cat : मुजरिम भाई का भेस बदलके बोल रहा है ??
Chhota Billi : तुम नही जानते फिल्मी, तुमने किन लोगों को अपना दुश्मन बना लिया है.
Filmi Cat : सच्चाई के रास्ते पे चलने वाले अंजाम की पर्वा नही किया करते...
Chhota Billi : लेकिन जिस रास्ते पे तुम चल रहे हो उसका अंजाम बुरा भी सकता है...
Filmi Cat : जिस रास्ते पे मैं चल रहा हूँ, उसका अंजाम शायद बुरा भी हो सकता है... लेकिन जिस रास्ते पे तुम चल रहे हो, उसका अंजाम बुरा ही होता है मेरे भाई.
Chhota Billi : फिल्मी, मेरी बात मान लो... तुम ये शहर छोड़कर कहीं दूर चले जाओ... अपना ट्रान्स्फर कहीं और करवा लो..
Filmi Cat : मेरे उसूल, मेरे आदर्श मुझे इस बात की इजाजत नही देते.
Chhota Billi (getting angry) : उफ्फ ये तुम्हारे उसूल, तुम्हारे आदर्श... किस काम के हैं ये ?? तुम्हारे इन उसूलों को मिलाके एक वक़्त की रोटी नही बनाई जा सकती.जिन आदर्शों की तुम बात कर रहे हो, उन आदर्शों ने तुम्हे दिया ही क्या है ?? महीना दो सौ रुपये की पुलिस की नौकरी... रहने के लिए किराए का एक क्वॉर्टर.ड्यूटी के लिए एक जीप ? इधर देखो... ये वहीं मैं हूँ और ये वहीं तुम हो... हम दोनो एक साथ इस फूटपाथ पे बड़े हुए... लेकिन आज मैं कहाँ पहुँच गया और तुम कहा
